If I did not set the timer when bread dough is in the oven, I would forget it there also. So sorry about your bowl. It’s pretty horrifying to smell something cooking in the oven that shouldn’t be in there!
Proofing dough is a new term for me. (Maybe because I haven’t made a yeast bread in a embarrassing number of years.) IS it the same as letting it rise?
