Will we run like a rabbit, distracted by technology and devices?

Or will we keep our heads down…I am very familiar with this position…weeding, weeding, weeding.

Or will we pause, breathe, and gather strength for another year of creativity. This summer view is one road over from my home and keeps me grounded.
My 2020 goals will be patience, compassion, and more patience. Have you set goals for the New Year?
Please share your thoughts on 2020 in the comments section.
In closing I share these thoughts:
What is life?
It is the flash of a firefly in the night.
It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime.
It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.

The goal is to spend as much time as possible with our (now scattered) family & helping my sister as much as possible. . The highlight for me in 2019 was a full weekend family meeting in Cumberland Md. & a long bike ride on the GAP rail trail with our children & grandchildren. I’m hoping to be able to have more of those beautiful moments in 2020.

Patricia, our actions teach by example, so in my book, Kindness, Empathy, and words like “thank you” are always appreciated by man and beast. Best in 2020. Diane

Why not make a living by doing what we love best? I followed that mantra twenty years ago, albeit humble results. Every year is a challenge, and aging adds to the mix. I need to focus on what I love best, and think of downsizing, yet my love of the quiet countryside keeps my feet here.
Happy 2020 Jeanne.

More people need to stop the noise and recognize/show compassion, love, openness. This would give hope to those through their actions.

By hook or crook, I am going to spend more time in my creativity in 2020. Yes, I need to make a living, but I also need to feed my spirit, as do we all. Happy New Year, Diane. All the best to you.

I’m partial to your third photo. I haven’t picked a word (never have either) or set any goals. I think I’ll just enjoy life as it comes and not worry about the future since there doesn’t seem like much I can do about it. I’ll try to be kind since it looks like we really need more kindness in the world and that patience thing, I could stand to work on that, too. Happy New Year.

Changes…..often incremental, sometimes abrupt. Hopefully ever striving for the better ones, and bracing for the rude ones, although we seldom seem ready when their drama appears. Never enough time for either kind, be it for building anticipation or exercising avoidance. Slowly, I’m realizing there’s plenty of needed time, if not so much wanted time. Like an addict, I’m always looking for more.
