Good points all Joe. I am working with local officials and city market managers to ban all non-biodegradable products/packaging beginning in 2020. Fingers crossed.
We as a world community have become complacent and lazy. So much is wrong on this planet, it is difficult to see the forest…and recently in Australia, there are even fewer forests. The suffering to the innocent wildlife is gut wrenching.
Governments are so slow/reluctant to step up to the plate, as mandates are the only way to force those violators to comply.
These are some tragic photos. When my father came home from WW2 he brought back a plastic mold of some sort & he told me one day everything will be made from this stuff. He also had a magnifying lens from an electronic tester & I still use that. That was in 1946.
When growing up recycling was a way of life. We brought our paper lunch bags home to be reused , wrapped our school books in newspaper, collected & returned glass bottles for 2 cents each etc. I was with a friend once who paid for gasoline with soda bottles.
WOW! Those poor turtles definitely needed help and so did the baby whale. Thanks for sharing!
