Welcome to home, garden, life. Thanks for your interest.
Residing in foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in a quiet hamlet outside Charlottesville, Virginia, USA I am surrounded by unparalleled vignettes of nature.
Daily images inspire my photography — coloring my essays.
Passionate about whole food, sustainable living, and humane treatment of animals, I garden using organic methods — living lightly on this earth. I am a Virginia Master Gardener, Bluebird Monitor, and host a Monarch Waystation on my property.
Please explore my site, as I use the WordPress platform to share ideas, educate, and inspire.
The best way to peruse this blog is through the search, month, and category bars found on the left side of the page.
In-depth exploration of this blog promises details on the joys of home, garden, and life through my photography, recipes, and seasonal adventures.
My motto: “Respect the earth; create memorable food”.

What a beautiful example for the younger generations! You hear so much of GMO coming from the U.S I feel that your blog is an example of being able to live the organic dream even when you are surrounded with others who want to “progress”…
Keep it up, you are the hope 🙂

This is a beautiful blog, and so well organized. I too garden organically and do all I can to live lightly. While my primary blog is poetry and musings on peace and growing, my new ‘baby’ is a blog where I hope to offer ideas for urbanites such as myself to do what we can to live more more green, more sensitive to the earth and to not be wasteful. It is a work in progress. In finding this beauty you’ve created, I am humbled yet reminded to remember: just offer what I can and not feel like so many others are doing it better already. Thank you so much for creating this site and sharing your wit and wisdom! Cheers, Gina

I really don’t know your area at all. I’ve been to Maryland briefly but that’s quite aways from Virginia. One of the great things about blogs: sharing and learning new stuff!
